Whitetail Deer Hunt from Double Bull Ground Blind

This is footage from an early season doe hunt in Michigan. There is a turkey decoy to the left of these deer on the tree line which is why these whitetails seem unsure of the situation – the fall turkey season overlaps the early doe season here in Michigan. This clip shows the effectiveness of wearing all black when using a Double Bull blind. At 30 yards, these two were much more concerned with the decoy than they were with me in the blind. If they would have been a year older this hunt would have been over. A great tip for setting up these blinds is to face the blind to the north or south. Because the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, facing north or south will help you remain in the shadows while hunting in both the mornings and evenings.

Pse Bow Madness at 20, 30 and 50 yards/Mike Southers

Mike Southers here, shooting my Pse Bow Madness Xs at various targets while seated. This is to simulate shooting out of a ground blind or anything of that sort. While I am shooting at these targets a buck and a doe come into shooting distance. I end up shooting them both, It’s insane! Remember if you have any questions just ask! Thank you for watching!

October 9 BowHunting Booner Whitetail Bucks ONLY on HawgNSonsTV

October 9 2009 Lake County Illinois 5:01pm. Wind NW 2mph. 47 degrees. Cloudy light rain on & off , Barometer 29.90 Rising, Waxing Gibbous 68% of the Moon is Illuminated. Bow Hunting Booner Whitetail Bucks. It was a great night in the palace blind. I seen a Monster Whitetail Buck that came within 13 yards at 5:01pm and fed for about 7 minutes then headed off to the South. I rattled antlers to try to bring him in where I could film the shot & about 20 minutes later he came right back down the same path to within 10 yards. Unfortunately he was looking straight into the window that I did get some video out of, so I didn’t want to chance giving away my location. At 6:33pm I seen a 130 inch 8 pointer in the same slew about 55 yards away but It was to dark to get good video by then…….Captured ONLY on www.HawgNSonsTV.Com

did you go hunting today if so did you get anything?

i did and i didnt get one we walked in and there were 5 deer at least and one at least was like a 6 or 8 point buck(we have a corn feeder out and thats where they were approx. 20-25 yards from are ground blind.) i brought gun up and i was with my dad and we have a Y stick that looks like a Y and it helps hold the gun up(im only 12 so im kinda weak.lol. and its a muzzle-loader and i am used to a 410 gun so its alot heavier and i have never shot it before i went out today or even a muzzle-loader before) and i set it on the Y stick and by the time i went to pull the hammer back it was to late:( so we sat there and at like 4:15 i was in my ground blind that has the windows you can shoot threw and by replacements. and i see a large buck walk by but i only had 50 grains of powder in my gun instead of the usual100 grains so i couldnt shoot as far and so i waited and it started to walk towards the feeder and i see this pretty desent doe behind him and then i got a good look at him and at the very very least it was a 10 pointer at the absolute least and we live in ohio so the deer might be bigger or smaller than where you live. and then all of a suden i look and i see what is proably the same deer that we saw at the feeder and ran off. so it was about a 6-8pointer and so obviously i went for the biggest which kept on walking and didnt stop(this was only my 2nd year hunting i started when i was 11) so i assumed that you where supposed to shoot in frount of it and so i did and then i didnt know that it like had a fire come out the end of the barrel and so then the whole tent prettymuch was filled with a fire thing for a second and that really freaked me out cause i thought i set the tent on fire and i was going to be trapped in it. and then there was smoke every where inside and so i couldnt see where the deer went (rember that you can shoot threw the window on mine so i thought i did) and so i looked down to see where i shot threw the window and i saw i shot threw the tent inself which was not supposed to be shot threw because i had never used a scope on a gun so i assumed that what you saw was what the barrel of the gun saw pretty much and so i shot and the tent i think messed me up a little and it was the biggest buck i have ever shot at so today was the most intense day of my life i think.lol. it was awsome!(o ya and im a girl!)

i love hunting and to hear stories of hunting!
